City of Demons[]
Should the webseries Constantine: City of Demons be considered to be connected to the DC Universe Animated Original Movies? That seems like a stretch to me. Granted, I don't think it can be directly connected to the Arrowverse either. The preceding unsigned comment was added by Otaku-sempai (talk • contribs).
- DCUAOM isn't a continuity, it's a line of direct to home video movies. The Constantine webseries, like the Vixen and Ray ones before, was a webseries published on CW Seed. It's set in the DC Animated Movieverse, but that doesn't make it DCUAOM. --Tupka217 14:40, June 3, 2019 (UTC)
Yeah, I'm not claiming that the film series as a whole forms a single continuity, though a number of the movies actually do so. And it can also be argued that Superman/Batman: Apocalypse is a loose sequel to Superman/Batman: Public Enemies. The DC Universe line is a very specific line of direct-to-video animated movies. There are many other such DC animated movies that have been released independent of that line. I would place Constantine: City of Demons in that later category. - That's what I said, and that's why I removed the things you added. --Tupka217 16:40, June 3, 2019 (UTC)
Okay, though that doesn't explain deleting the comics spin-offs to Gods & Monsters. I didn't add the Nightwing & Robin short, I just made the notation about it being a deleted sequence. Otaku-sempai (talk) 18:24, June 3, 2019 (UTC)Otaku-sempai
No, not as movies or animated shorts; but they were directly spun out of Justice League: Gods and Monsters which most definitely is a DC Universe Animated Original Movie. Otaku-sempai (talk) 19:15, June 3, 2019 (UTC)
- The comics are, however, not DCUAOM. They're digital first comics. --Tupka217 19:16, June 3, 2019 (UTC)
I don't see why that should matter as long as there is a direct connection between a DCUAOM and one or more spin-off comics. There is still a direct relationship between the movie and the comics. This holds just as true for the comics spun out of the Suicide Squad: Hell to Pay animated movie (though someone else added that to the entry). Otaku-sempai (talk) 13:42, June 4, 2019 (UTC)
- There's room for that their universe pages - Justice League: Gods and Monsters and (once it's moved and made) DC Animated Movie Universe. --Tupka217 14:11, June 4, 2019 (UTC)
