Merging in "Edward Nigma (Earth-Two)"[]
Just wondering...
- Would we be appending the character history, or just the appearances?
- Also, pushing back the first appearance to 1948?
- And, with regard to the two involved stories, would we be changing over the other characters in the strips?

- Not sure I agree with the merger. Are we sure there are no Post-Golden Age Earth-Two Riddler appearances lurking out there? If there are, I think we should keep separate pages. DrJohnnyDiablo (talk) 02:48, March 10, 2015 (UTC)
- My files show no other Riddler appearances in an Earth-Two context. The two Detective Comics stories are indeed his only appearances before the character´s return in Batman #171.
- This is another case where the sliding E1/E2 distinction is somewhat pointless since the reintroduced character´s backstory is considered identical and his later apperances thus have something of a sequel quality. So, his 1st appearance is in 1948.
- However, I advise against moving the other characters. Character pages and story pages are two different animals, so, while there is no problem in merging E2 Riddler with E1 Riddler, the two earlier stories would remain Earth-Two. --Lucien61 (talk) 06:52, March 10, 2015 (UTC)
There is no hard distinction on which Batman stories are Earth-One and which are Earth-Two. We would like to believe that there is a hard cut-off point, but the reality is that it's pretty much a mixed bag. Writers drew on whatever stories they felt like. They did not limit themselves by publication date. In this case, there is absolutely nothing separating the "Earth-Two" and "Earth-One" versions of the Riddler. They have a cohesive history and the same origin story. The "Earth-One" stories reference the "Earth-Two" stories. Batman #171 references Tec #142. There is no reason to treat them as separate characters other than the date when these stories were published.
