DC Database

What is included?[]

Which Fawcett comics should be in the database?

1. Most of them, but exclude the ones we know were bought by Charlton comics since those were not included years later when DC bought what was left. (DC bought most of Fawcett's output, 80% or more.)

or

2. All of them, since all of them presumably happened on Earth-S but the Charlton-owned characters did not survive the Crisis.

All of the things DC purchased. --Tupka217 23:05, January 2, 2014 (UTC)
Really, I think this should be forged into a centralized discussion like the recent MLJ one - not all of it's DC. The same applies to Shadow, Spirit and Phantom stuff. --Tupka217 23:06, January 2, 2014 (UTC)

Titles Fawcett sold to Charlton[]

I believe this is the list of titles Fawcett sold to Charlton when Fawcett left the comics business in 1953. Therefore, these titles were not sold to DC by Fawcett in 1991:

Cowboy Love
Fawcett's Funny Animals (Fawcett sold the title to Charlton, but not all the features. I know Fawcett did not sell Hoppy to Charlton. This one needs more research.)
Negro Romance
Ozzie and Babs
Romantic Secrets
Romantic Story
Six-Gun Heroes
Strange Suspense Stories
Sweetheart Diary
Sweethearts
This Magazine Is Haunted
Young Eagle

Also, Charlton assumed the licenses on these licensed titles when Fawcett quit. But as licensed titles, they wouldn't be sold to DC anyway, just including them to be complete:

Lash Larue Western
Nyoka the Jungle Girl
Rocky Lane Western
Tex Ritter Western

Found one more:
Hot Rod Comics (Charlton did not continue Hot Rod Comics, but they did move the comic's star Clint Curtis to their title Hot Rods and Racing Cars)

Also, Charlton apparently bought the character Golden Arrow. After Fawcett's closing, Golden Arrow appeared in Charlton's Cowboy Western #48-51 & 57, Range Busters #10 and Tex Ritter Comics #27. Shadzane 💀 (talk) 19:45, September 14, 2018 (UTC)
