Pre-Crisis Lynns[]

The original Firefly who used lighting gadgetry is considerably different from the pyromaniac. Apart from the annoyance of having an "Earth-Two" section (he also appeared in Earth-One) it would be more appropriate to separate the two, as he was effectively retconned in every way besides the names in New Earth.

On a side note is he also one of those pesky characters who was "resurrected" because someone forgot he was dead?

To my knowledge, he has not died. As for the split, it is a similar situation as with Mister Freeze, and Poison Ivy. Firefly was still the lightsy-gadget crook even after CoIE. (See also Outsiders #16) It wasn't until Batman: Knightfall (1992-3) that Chuck Dixon made Firefly a more menacing figure by making him an arsonist. No explanation given, same name, same alias. There's no substancial evidence to say that they are not the same and there is no contradiction either. Besides, he's got only 2 Earth-Two appearances and 1 appearance in Earth-One (coincidence?). The Earth-Two section is simply for organization purposes. It gives the reader a clear idea of when the story took place. It might as well be called "Pre-Crisis". - S.S. Good to know. This page needs to reflect all that. I've only ever read one appearance of Firefly, which was the Earth-One appearance in a Creeper story. Any other info comes directly from this article, which is why it would be nice if someone could give it a make over. It says he was killed by the OMAC's but was still used afterwards. Not only that, but all his burn scars were retconned without explanation. -Arise Etrigan (talk) 23:59, January 4, 2017 (UTC)
