Darkstars?

I don't recall J'onn ever having any association with the Darkstars. Can we get a citation on this? --Brian Kurtz 14:17, 15 May 2007 (UTC)

Fly Away Home

If he's invulnerable and can fly, why didn't he ever just scoot back to Mars right after arriving on Earth?

I think in the beginning he couldn't survive in outer space. Then, after COIE, they addressed that by saying he was transported through time as well as space. The Paradox 00:07, 14 October 2008 (UTC)

Powers

The powers section on this article needs to be revised for accuracy with modern depictions. The preceding unsigned comment was added by Kansas Hurricane (talk • contribs).

Define "modern depictions". Also, older depictions still warrant a mention. They were correct at one time, we don't ignore them completely. --Tupka217 20:10, August 3, 2014 (UTC)
Remember, superman possessed a large amount of abilities that he doesn't have today that we don't mention. The preceding unsigned comment was added by Kansas Hurricane (talk • contribs).

Superman has a page for his Silver Age version, where those powers are mentioned (or, should be). Martian Manhunter's article is about his Silver and Modern Age version.--Tupka217 09:22, August 5, 2014 (UTC)

J'onn J'onzz (Earth-One)

Am I going crazy? I could swear that there also was an Earth-One article for Martian Manhunter. I think there should be a separation of articles, for the story of such versions has its differences.

  • In the Pre-Crisis, there were other green Martians; J'onn even left Earth to establish a new colony with these Martians. Life on Mars was destroyed by General Blanx.
  • In the Post-Crisis, Jonn and Malefik are the last green Martians. J'onn never left Earth after arriving from Mars. J'onn's presence would replace that of Superman, as originally intended in the post-Crisis. Life on Mars was destroyed by a strange plague. Kowalewski (talk) 10:54, November 10, 2017 (UTC)
Not opposed to a split. Has to be thoroughly researched though, especially with the powers. --Tupka217 11:54, November 10, 2017 (UTC)
Yes, during Pre-Crisis he was more limited in mental powers. Kowalewski (talk) 00:05, November 11, 2017 (UTC)
A split is necessary. New Earth J’onn is inconsistent enough without the Earth-One history also. As for powers they spung up whenever convienient but easily researchable. I have the Showcase collection and would help if needed. The vulnerability to fire will come with a small essay though. Arise Etrigan (talk) 02:44, November 11, 2017 (UTC)
