Examples of comics calling it the Fourth World[]
I removed the note that said it had never been referred to as the Fourth World in any comics, since that isn't true.
- In the JLA storyline "World War III," Metron says "As New Genesis is to the Fourth World, Earth shall be to the Fifth that is to come."
- Didn't Death of the New Gods refer to it as the fourth world also? I don't feel like looking through those eight issues to find a quote. Dream Focus 20:16, January 29, 2014 (UTC)
Scope[]
Okay, is this article specifically about the four series that Kirby did for DC in the '70s or is it about all the relaunches and derived works as well? The write up is pretty vague and could be interpreted either way, but the note about the omnibus volumes would seem to limit it to the '70s books and Kirby's own follow-ups in New Gods Vol 2 6 and DC Graphic Novel Vol 1 4. --Khajidha (talk) 14:45, October 30, 2017 (UTC)
- The way I understand it, everything. The Fourth World is a publishing family like the Batman family (only not as busy). The main reason we call it Jack Kirby's is because a) it is his creation and b) we need to disambiguate. Jack Kirby's Fourth World Vol 1, for example, is not by Jack Kirby. --Tupka217 14:47, October 30, 2017 (UTC)
