Character Image[]

According to the manual of style, "The main image should reflect the character's appearance in their most iconic look." I do not believe the current image meets this standard. Coming from the cover of Batgirl #56, I don't deny that it's not a good piece of art that depicts the character, but several key features are difficult to make out. The hair obscuring the face also obscures her iconic eyepatch. While not hiding, exactly, it pulls focus away from that key feature. Similarly, the leather jacket she always wears is mostly off, which is a look that is not typically associated with her. If I were to guess why this piece of art was chosen for her image, it would be because most of the more appropriate options look older and plainer. But given the manual of style, I would argue this isn't a justifiable reason for this to be the main character image. Ddaaww (talk) 00:47, 25 February 2023 (UTC)

I would argue something like "File:Lynx I.jpg" would be more appropriate. Ddaaww (talk) 00:59, 25 February 2023 (UTC)

I thought we had internal art up for her already, but it's probably years since I've checked this page. I deleted your suggestion as it's a cover crop but wouldn't mind one of the other images already uploaded.--Tupka217 (talk) 01:04, 25 February 2023 (UTC)
Apologies, I wasn't aware cover crops weren't allowed. Looking exclusively at what's in the gallery already, Maybe "Lynx I 003.jpg"? I'm not sure what the etiquette is for character photos when it comes to speech bubbles or other text being in frame. But that image seems to balance the "nicer" (not the best word for it) modern look while also clearly showing the character's distinctive features. Ddaaww (talk) 01:14, 25 February 2023 (UTC)
