Talk: Milky Way Galaxy

The name is redundant. "Milky Way" and "Galaxy" mean exactly the same. ---Lucien61 (talk) 06:42, November 8, 2014 (UTC)

Technically, "Galaxy" is taken from galaxías kýklos, so only means "Milky" :P. But yeah you're right. However, the the term "Galaxy" has come to mean "other things that aren't the Milky Way but are like it". But it can be dropped in this case. --Tupka²¹⁷ 08:24, November 8, 2014 (UTC)
