:::That might not be a "canonicity" issue so much as a "plagiarism" thing. The opening sentences of those synopses are identical to the ones appearing in "Mike's Amazing World." Follow-on sentences look original, and it might be possible to salvage the synopses with some judicious rephrasing. Or not, I can't say. This picture (https://i.imgur.com/OswoptQ.png) is taken directly from New Fun Comics #1, and, if you look under the "In This Issue of New FUN" column, shows 29 indexes for (I'm assuming) 32 pages. It looks like we are missing plenty of stories as well as have plenty of storys that do not appear in the story(?). The Oswald the Rabbit story isnt mentioned there, but I see it in the pages I have. I only have 14 pages though (Who have been badly photographed or have been photographed with papers covering them). So do with that what you will.

Making edits to the 2023 material. The hero's name is Rex Cosmos, not Carson, as I originally thought--whoever edited the synopsis missed one. The Professor and Joan's last name, however, is indeed *Shanley*, not Stanley.Jim in NYC (talk) 16:44, October 10, 2016 (UTC)

Eureka! I have found it! Shanley's assistant (the man who telephones Joan in this issue) has a last name: Drut (checked and made sure that that was a legitimate last name in the 1930s). I'm adding him to the character list in #1, #2, and #5 (the only three issues that I've verified his appearance).Jim in NYC (talk) 19:47, March 21, 2017 (UTC)

Story order
I just read the Famous First Editions version of this and the stories are not presented in the order we list them. It is supposed to be faithfully reprinted in its entirety so we should be able to trust their order. Is it worth re-ordering then? We will also have to adjust them on the reprints as well if we do that. Kyletheobald (talk) 03:48, May 14, 2020 (UTC)

Policy Complications

At this point, the Magic Crystal of History series is an actual adventure series--the historical vignettes won't come until later. Is it worth cataloging the series?Jim in NYC (talk) 19:49, July 29, 2014 (UTC)

Any information about the earliest DC comics is appreciated. There are very few data extant - so, yes, put them in. Also, if the leaked rumors about Morrison´s Multiversity finale bear any semblance to the facts (Jack Woods being explicitly mentioned), these stories will be included into the DC canon. --Lucien61 (talk) 20:21, July 29, 2014 (UTC)
Apparently not, since all the synopses I added have been deleted.Jim in NYC (talk) 16:08, August 20, 2014 (UTC)
That might not be a "canonicity" issue so much as a "plagiarism" thing. The opening sentences of those synopses are identical to the ones appearing in "Mike's Amazing World." Follow-on sentences look original, and it might be possible to salvage the synopses with some judicious rephrasing. Or not, I can't say. Stoop Davy Dave (talk) 10:59, October 26, 2015 (UTC)
