Move[]
We may need to have some standard here. Apart from NYC, Gotham City, Metropolis, Gateway City and Boston (and probably more) also have a Chinatown. Maybe is we call it "[City] Chinatown"? --Tupka217 11:45, April 16, 2014 (UTC)
- I've linked the following:
- Boston Chinatown
- Gateway City Chinatown
- Gotham City Chinatown
- Metropolis Chinatown
- San Francisco Chinatown
- There's also LA's Chinatown in Beast Boy's series, Central City Chinatown (Spirit, not Flash) and Starling City Chinatown. --Tupka217 15:59, April 22, 2014 (UTC)
- Don't forget there's also one in Seattle and Washington, D.C. -- The Talk Goblin 17:07, April 22, 2014 (UTC)
- I don't have a strong opinion. This sounds good. That being said, I don't think we need a page for every single appearance Chinatown in a random city. - Billy Arrowsmith (Talk), 17:40, April 22, 2014 (UTC)
Detective Sergeant Carey, of the Chinatown Squad[]
I just now tried to confirm that Dt.Sg.Carey's stories are set in NYC, and checked all of his appearances in this database, bupkis. NYC seems like a good bet, but not a perfect bet. I'm hoping one day to nail down his Location, with a citation. But until then, labeling it New York City Chinatown, as some of his appearances are, seems premature.
What would help here might be a generic "Chinatown" page, alongside the few San Francisco Chinatown style pages that already exist. This could also serve to provide a parking place for single-appearance Chinatowns and indeterminate-location Chinatowns (Blackhawk-style towns, essentially). But before I build one, what-all needs to be in the article? Huck Foley (talk) 22:28, 22 April 2021 (UTC)
