Why is this listed as located in Jersey City?[]

The statue isn't located in Jersey City. The actual Liberty Island is a part of New York City and New York State. As it's surrounded by Jersey City and its waters while being inside New Jersey's waters, it's considered an exclave. This is mentioned on its Wikipedia article too. It's possible for locations to be shown under different locales in comics, but not once do I remember it having been said to be in Jersey. MatteJohnny (talk) 15:43, September 19, 2020 (UTC)

I think it's just a simple misunderstanding. Change it. --- Haroldrocks talk 15:52, September 19, 2020 (UTC)
Okay. MatteJohnny (talk) 15:56, September 19, 2020 (UTC)

Contrary to popular belief Liberty Island is on New Jersey's side of the state boundary line. Even though New York claims that it is on their side of the state boundary line. But the federal government takes care of the statue and island. So in effect that statue belongs to either New Jersey or the federal government. The Royal Purple Pimp (talk) 02:15, September 20, 2020 (UTC)

Wikipedia says the island is technically on NJ's side, but "Both islands were ceded by New York to the federal government in 1800.[178] As agreed in an 1834 compact between New York and New Jersey that set the state border at the bay's midpoint, the original islands remain New York territory though located on the New Jersey side of the state line. Liberty Island is one of the islands that are part of the borough of Manhattan in New York." So technically New York. --- Haroldrocks talk 02:36, September 20, 2020 (UTC)
I think I added it when I looked at a map and thought I was smort. See here. --Tupka217 09:02, September 20, 2020 (UTC)
Yes, the Liberty Island is on New Jersey's side of border TRPP. But it's an exclave of New York. The federal government lists Liberty Island as part of New York, [1]. Even the mailing address of Liberty Island is listed as New York, New York. MatteJohnny (talk) 10:25, September 20, 2020 (UTC)
