Universe?[]
Every Black Label gets its own universe. This too? --BrawnyOak 15:02, March 5, 2020 (UTC)
- Tom King himself said Black Label titles could be in continuity. MatteJohnny (talk) 00:32, June 14, 2020 (UTC)
- Tom King's statement: https://twitter.com/tomkingtk/status/1224818804578029572?lang=en
- Almost unhelpfully vague. It can be in-continuity or it can not be. To the average reader, it means 'don't worry about it'. To a website that chronicles and categories everything about DC, it means 'screw you guys'. :P
- EDIT: I'll also add, if it can be in continuity, in my opinion, we might as well treat it like it is.

- Yes I know that, but claiming it's not in continuity is solely based off it being from DC Black Label. The comic still has that African American woman from Mister Miracle by King. Shifting it to its own universe for publication shift is unwise speculation. MatteJohnny (talk) 01:07, June 14, 2020 (UTC)
- The woman is irrelevant evidence - Tom King's intentions are clear (enough) in his tweet that continuity doesn't matter to him, so we can't build a case on a nameless recurring background character. That's like guessing the flavor of the cake by the frosting. This isn't "how can we prove this is in-continuity", moreso how do we as a database want to interpret his wish-washiness.
- With that said, again, I agree with you and believe we might as well keep everything Prime Earth with a big ol' asterisk everywhere like "Tom King is playing fast and loose with canon here". We did it with Mister Miracle, this seems to be pretty much exactly the same idea. --- Haroldrocks talk 01:57, June 14, 2020 (UTC)
- The tweet only meant even Black Label titles could be continuous, I don't see why he'll say that if it was non-canon. That said this book was never meant to focus what's in continuity that was made clear. You can revert it back to its own universe, there's no point in us arguing over something so trivial. I've contacted King for clarification. However, for now I'll suggest against creating any article for any character from the series. MatteJohnny (talk) 10:27, June 14, 2020 (UTC)
Both Tom King and Mitch Gerards have clarified Strange Adventures is canon to me. I hope this resolves it. Reply by Mitch and King. MatteJohnny (talk) 10:38, June 14, 2020 (UTC)
