Has the name been confirmed? Since it is similar to the phrase "Seven Eleven" it has been suggested that Sven Elven might be a pseudonym. --Lucien61 (talk) 07:31, April 5, 2013 (UTC)

Why would it be? It's a perfectly normal Swedish name. --Tupka217 10:03, April 5, 2013 (UTC)
I think its pretty unlikely they are connected since Seven Eleven didn't become the name of the store chain until 1946 and Sven was working in the 1930's. Kyletheobald (talk) 13:03, April 5, 2013 (UTC)
I'm fine with it being a Swedish name. 7 and 11 are, however, the come-out rolls in a craps game - which is older than the chain store, by the way. So, the question remains. I have read about the name of Sven Elven being a pseudonym when it was mentioned at all, and now I wonder. Has it been sourced? --Lucien61 (talk) 21:54, April 6, 2013 (UTC)
What, that it is a pseudonym? Haven't seen that sourced. --Tupka217 22:21, April 6, 2013 (UTC)
Right, this is not the source I read, but it raises the same concern without clearly answering the question. But if it is a pseudonym it has been used consistently. (https://forums.comicbookresources.com/archive/index.php/t-198428.html) --Lucien61 (talk) 10:44, April 7, 2013 (UTC)
And now it is getting interesting. Check out Maiden America´s post at the bottom of the page. (https://www.lambiek.net/artists/e/elven_sven.htm) --Lucien61 (talk) 10:48, April 7, 2013 (UTC)
Niether gives any indication it's a pseudonym. In fact, the connection to 7-11 seems no more than a joke. --Tupka217 11:32, April 7, 2013 (UTC)
It seems so ... I'll try to tickle some information out of Maiden America on facebook. --Lucien61 (talk) 11:54, April 7, 2013 (UTC)
