Swamp Thing Vol 2 86 indicates that Tomahawk's legal name (Post-Crisis) is Thomas Haukins, not Hawk. --Brian Kurtz 13:21, 12 April 2009 (UTC)
Disambiguate?[]
This version of this guy isn't linked to the Tomahawk disambiguation page. This guy is the New Earth version of the long-running Earth-One character, from Star-Spangled Comics. But he's got the Truman artwork from the Vertigo version for his photo, here, which looks just like the cover from "Vertigo Visions: Tomahawk" (minus the lettering), which is used as the thumbnail for that different version of the guy ... SO I'm reluctant/nervous about linking to the disambig. But does it not need to be linked? Stoop Davy Dave (talk) 10:31, July 26, 2020 (UTC)
- 1: He is linked in the disambig. A new feature appears on many of the disambigs. If you toggle from "Current" to "Former", you will see the Pre-Flashpoint Tomahawk.
- 2: I think the main image on this should probably be changed to reflect Tomahawk's usual appearance. DrJohnnyDiablo (talk) 10:46, July 26, 2020 (UTC)
History Problem[]
Everything after the first paragraph in the History section is about the Vertigo version (?) of Tomahawk. The Earth-One Tomahawk had a VERY different career, and met an amazing assortment of giant Indians, giant iron Indians, giant tree Indians, giant gorillas, and giant lizards including dinosaurs AND dragons.
So I'm fixing to do some major surgery here, but am not anxious to discard the existing prose, which while misplaced, is pretty good prose. So I'm stalling, while I look for a better idea, really. Stoop Davy Dave (talk) 03:06, August 1, 2020 (UTC)
- By having one page for both the Earth-Two Tomahawk and the New Earth/Vertigo Tomahawk, we are claiming that the differences between the two are minor. So for the History, there are three options that I see:
- 1. Write a history that integrates the two. That should be possible I think -- all the crazy monster stuff happened during the Revolutionary War, and the Vertogo stuff was after that and actually set up the "Hawk, Son of Tomahawk" era, right? So you can keep the existing text, and add to the front and back.
- 2. Split the page into an Earth-Two page and a New Earth page, keep the existing text on the New Earth page and write the Earth-Two page from scratch.
- 3. Split the history into Earth-Two and New Earth sections (which is like saying the page should be split, but that's too much work), keep the existing text on the New Earth section and write the Earth-Two section from scratch.
- Good luck! -- SuperFan24K (talk) 14:59, August 3, 2020 (UTC)
- I think a split into Earth-Two and New Earth pages would be the best course of action. There's enough difference to make it worthwhile. DrJohnnyDiablo (talk) 15:10, August 3, 2020 (UTC)
- Another argument for a split is that we have already split Dan Hunter, for very good reasons. SuperFan24K (talk) 15:49, August 3, 2020 (UTC)

- Okay but before I start to build an Earth-Two version character page here's my question, is his "real name" still Haukins ? or Hawk ? or does he even have one ? Stoop Davy Dave (talk) 00:11, August 4, 2020 (UTC)
- His entry in the original Who's Who calls him Tom Hawk. Haukins is Post-Crisis. DrJohnnyDiablo (talk) 00:17, August 4, 2020 (UTC)
