Pre/Post Crisis Continuity

I remember reading years ago that Earth-C survived the Crisis on Infinite Earths as it was an alternate dimension rather than a parallel Earth; can any direct me to where this was stated? (Edit (found it): Mougin, Lou, Waid, Mark (w), Pérez, George (p), Official Crisis on Infinite Earths Index v1 #1 March, 1986 Eclipse Comics/Independent Comics)

As for the mention that Earth-26 is an equivalant to Earth-C, since it was stated that Earth-C survived the Crisis and the current population actually refers to their Earth as Earth-C, could Earth-26 and Earth-C simply be the same reality? --Red00Knight 14:02, March 26, 2011 (UTC)

That would seem logical. Both Earth-C and Earth-C Minus (home of the Justa Lotta Animals) were supposed to have survived the Crisis, as I recall. Tony ingram 14:35, March 26, 2011 (UTC)

Of course, the explanation of how the reality changed from an alternate dimension to a parallel Earth is missing but following 52/Infinite Crisis it could easily be exmplained I think. --Red00Knight 17:50, March 26, 2011 (UTC)
