It's name originates with the fact that the moon maintains a dense jungle environment, with tall, grassy plains. Months after the end of the Citadel War, Primus, leader of the Omega Men received word of Branx activity on the moon. He contacted a warrior from Euphorix named Skokiaan and asked her to perform a reconnaissance mission. Skokiaan found an edifice in the jungle known as the Killing House. The Killing House was one of many such scientific experiments left behind on various worlds by the alien race known as the Psions. The Killing House was a parasitic entity that fed off the energy of living organisms. Those trapped within the Killing House were forced to fight against other prisoners just to maintain their strength and vitality. Skokiaan was imprisoned inside the Killing House whereupon she was forced to defend herself against other trapped alien prisoners including Brighteyes, Impasse, Juju, Skittre and Soma. She even had to match her warrior's edge against her own student, Katydid. In the end, it was Katydid who proved victorious by causing a backlash of energy that shorted out the house's symbiotic nerve center. These warriors, now free of the building's control, elected to remain on Tallgrass and establish an outpost there.
