Synopsis for "Tangent: Superman's Reign - Chapter 10"

On Tangent Earth, Manhunter and the two Batmen have found Lola Dent, the Superman's estranged wife - believed dead for a decade, and anxious to be alone. Batman introduces himself as a visitor from another Earth, which catches her interest. Batman uses this against her - he thinks that, while she initially supported her husband's crusade to bring justice to a shattered world, she left him when it led him to create an untouchable police state and kill thousands. Shocked by the memory, Lola Dent agrees to help the heroes to save New Earth from the Tangent Superman's machinations.

At the Tangent Superman's Fortress in Switzerland, the heroes of two universes have gathered. A replica of Doc Magnus' trans-universal communication device has been constructed by Hal Jordan, and the New Earth Green Lanterns have joined their powers to that of the Tangent Green Lantern, all three trying to make contact. Black Lightning and Tangent Atom, realizing that more energy is needed, add their power to the pot, and the machine sends a beam of emerald energy into the night sky...

On New Earth, Superman, Power Girl and GL Guy Gardner have recovered from the after effects of the Tangent Superman's nuclear strike. They fly around looking for the carrier fleet, and discover that the Tangent Superman beached almost all the ships, except one that he picked up and flew away with.

Suddenly, Guy Gardner's ring explodes with energy. He flies up, creating a portal, out of which come the heroes from the Fortress, closely followed by Manhunter, the two Batmen, and Lola Dent, whose presence is a shock to the Tangent heroes. However, sho promptly proves her worth by getting the entire beached carrier fleet back in the water.

The Tangent Superman is at the New Earth Fortress of Solitude. He has the leaders of the world in captivity, and will soon makes this fact. But he knows from experience that the heroes will never surrender their liberty, so he will need an army - a coalition of this world's greatest supervillains...

Synopsis for "History Lesson - Chapter 10"

At the Nightwing complex, Guy does not think Jennifer's plan to overthrow the Superman will end well. Jennifer brushes this aside, asking Guy about the Spectre. Guy agrees to tell her, but insists that this is "the last one".

As far as he knows, the Spectre was originally Tyler Pike, a teenage physics prodigy. Working from his basement, he was bombarded with neutrinos, either by accident or design. This gave him the power to control the "resonance of his molecules", giving him the power to become invisible and intangible. From here, he developed a career as in industrial espionage. Somehow, he joined the Secret Six, which led him to abandon his lucrative career for a position as the point man, infiltrating enemy strongholds, stealing information and objects.

At this, Guy puts down his glasses and stands up. He declares that this "is over". When Jennifer disagrees, he suddenly changes his body, becoming a giant purple creature with several exposed muscles. Revealing his true name as "Clayface", he snaps Jaime's neck and begins to menace Jennifer...
