- — Terra src
Tara Markov, also known as Terra, was a geokinetic metahuman member of Caitlin Fairchild's Ravagers and Project Defiance, and a former member of the Outsiders and the Teen Titans.
History
Origin
Tara Markov comes from a privileged lifestyle. She was the daughter of the king of Markovia and has a brother named Brion Markov.[1] She eventually developed the metahuman ability of geokinesis, the ability to control earth, stone, and minerals, taking the name Terra.
At some point, Terra joined the Teen Titans, operating as a spy for Slade Wilson aka Deathstroke, eventually giving him informations. During this period, she engaged in an inappropriate relationship with Slade, though he would later make a point of stating that he never slept with her, and that he only used the possibility of a relationship to manipulate her.[2]
New 52
Terra was captured by an organization called the N.O.W.H.E.R.E., which was lodered by Harvest. They activated her powers through psychological means rather than genetic manipulation. When Fistpoint attacked Beast Boy, Terra defended him and they became friends.[3] Over time, Terra became part of Caitlin Fairchild's team, the Ravagers, which also included Beast Boy, Thunder, Lightning and Ridge. With the help of the Teen Titans and the the Legion, Terra and the Ravagers managed to escape the Culling.[4]
