Tartan Quarantino was the owner of Quarantino's Bar in Hammer City until the entire metroplolis was razed inadvertently by Lobo.
History
Tartan even met the Czarnian responsible when Lobo joined him in the ruins of his establishment for a drink on his way out of town. After regaling his silent companion with a one-sided philosophical discussion, Tartan asked the stranger's opinion, and had a beer keg smashed over his head for the trouble.[1]
With no prospects left in Hammer City, Tartan left Planet Malteez immediately for Space City Robinson and started his own bounty hunting agency, acquiring Lobo as his first client.[1] The first job he booked for 'Bo and Jonas was a security gig at Cheezworld.[2]
Tartan was a guest at Lobo's birthday party on Weezil's World. He was punched in the face by Jonas for talking too much, and made to strip down with the rest of the men by Darlene and the hired entertainment.[3]
At a time when bounty work was scarce and tensions were running high, Tartan came up with the idea for "The Big Brawl," a battle royale for the bored and broke bounty hunters to let off some steam. He gave them all just one hour notice to prepare and to select a blunt weapon only.[4] He held the event in the disused Lobezno Warehouse where he declared Paranoid Jones the last man standing by default. Jones knocked Tartan out, suspicious that he, like everyone, was out to get him.[5]
Powers and Abilities
Abilities
- Business Management: Tartan originally owned a bar in Hammer City before it was destroyed. He then started his own bounty agency on Space City Robinson immediately after.[1]
- Philosophy: Tartan has either studied, or is well read in philosophy. He was debating the nature of good and evil with himself, citing Plato and Aristotle, when he first met Lobo.[1]
