Mr. Tawny was hired as a math teacher at Sidekick City Elementary. He later volunteered to act as Mary Marvel's pet when she wanted to gain access to the Tiny Titans' pet club. While sleeping with the rest of the pets, he noticed Mr. Mind trying to sneak in and he used his breath to force him of of Titans Treehouse.
