Teacher was one of Mongul's champions and claimed that Mongul would never have been able to take the throne without him.
History
Teacher developed the Orphan Boxes and other powerful weapons for Mongul by studying Orphan.
Teacher is physically feeble and so his main role in combat is to control The Unmade. He possesses multiple forms of sophisticated defences, but that did not prevent Manchester Black from beating him unconscious with a stick. When the Authority was defeated, Teacher took Manchester Black and experimented on him, hoping to use Black's ability to create illusions to manifest actual physical creatures.
During the fight with the Authority, Lightray was killed. Teacher had her lover OMAC brought to him and told them that if they gave him access to their armor's systems, he could restore Lightray to life. OMAC agreed and became one of Mongul's berserkers. Mongul sent OMAC and the other berserkers to slaughter the slaves in the arena, but they were defeated and the gladiators escaped, becoming an armed resistance against Mongul's rule.
Teacher ignored Mongul's orders to evacuate his laboratory, which was overrun by the rebels. They rescued Manchester Black and captured Orphan. The rebels imprisoned Teacher, but Mongul launched a counter-attack and freed him. Teacher took Darling, who he had rebuilt and reprogrammed to serve him, to guard the Star Forges from the rebels.
Steel, Orphan and a weaponsmith named Leonath attempted to reach the Forge in order to convert Warworld's red sun into a white one, which would restore Superman's powers. Teacher and his forces initially managed to hold them off, but Orphan obliterated Teacher as revenge for what he had done to him and Darling.
