Team Titans #2 is an issue of the series Team Titans (Volume 1) with a cover date of October, 1992.
Synopsis for "From the Ashes of Defeat"
In an alternate future of 2001, Captain Joshua MacDonald of the Force Elite petitions the military council to travel backwards in time in order hunt down the renegade Team Titans. The council gives their approval, and MacDonald cannot wait to get his hands on the former agent Charlie Watkins.
In the present, Donna Troy appears as a giant, mythic figure in the center of Manhattan. With the power of a true goddess at her fingertips, she is determined to find her son. Ignoring the other Titans, she flies off to locate him.
Later, Redwing begins to suffer a crisis of conscience. She flies off and wonder if she will ever be able to find a home for herself here in this timeline. She witnesses a mugging taking place in an alley and intervenes. One of the criminals manages to set her wings on fire. Nightrider arrives to assist her, and launches into the thugs, drinking their blood.
Meanwhile, Lord Chaos assumes a more human appearance and goes to the former Titans Island. He oversees the final stages of a temple being erected in his honor. He muses over how he will now re-establish his future empire in this era. He decides that in addition to vanquishing his mother (or so he believes), he must also slay his father, Terry Long. Lord Chaos flies to Steve Dayton's penthouse and attacks the Titans in an effort to get to Terry.
Meanwhile, a new figure emerges in the streets of New York. A man known as Battalion opens fire against a group of hoodlums.
