Team Zero #4 is an issue of the series Team Zero (Volume 1) with a cover date of May, 2006. It was published on March 1, 2006.

Synopsis for "Team Zero, Part Four"

Deathblow peacefully meets the advancing Russians while Deadeye and Cowboy observe with sniper support if matters worsen. At first the soldiers mistakes him for a German soldier and beats him up and subdue him. Fortunately, this misunderstanding is clear by Soviet Major Sergei Ignatiev. Deathblow introduces himself to Ignatiev as Lieutenant Daniel Brody of the 82nd Airborne and stating that his small unit was to secure the village for relief, and explaining that their presence was to secure something of value that is unknown to him and that everything the German had are gone. Ignatiev beckons Deathblow to lead his forces to the village as they will secure it for now.

Team Zero and everyone inside the church, including the scientists who are disguised as soldiers, are called outside by Deathblow. Ignatiev negotiates with Deathblow that given Karlshagen is under the Soviet occupied zone and that he has jurisdiction and custody over the German prisoners. Which he plans in having few kill and some transfer to Russia. Both Team Zero and Major Ignatiev's men recuperate inside the church. Ignatiev is increasingly suspicious of Deathblow given that the major knows about the V-2 rocket facilities close to the village. He also reveals Deathblow that his forces are only an advance patrol and that a following detachment of mobile infantry and armor forces are coming to the village. Meanwhile Grifter is greatly concern over Inge and her family being harass by some of the Russian soldiers. Cowboy and Deadeye comes to where the POWs are being held.

Ignatiev toasts with Deathblow and subtly tells him that he knows the purpose of Team Zero's presence. Deathblow immediately grabs his machine gun and guns down Ignatiev and some of his men. At the same time Grifter kills the soldiers who are harassing Inge and her family. Deadeye kills some of the guards and allowing the unarmed POWs to kill their remaining captors. After killing the remaining Russians, Deathblow tells his team of what happened.

Deathblow gather everyone and announces the Russians' intentions and the upcoming arrival of Soviet forces. He declares a truce and alliance between Team Zero and the POWs to hold off the Russian advance. He layout that the scientists, their documents and anyone who wanted to leave, be travel westward on truck while Team Zero prepare to slow the Soviet's progress any way they can.

On the next day, Backlash and a German youth observes the arrival of Soviet tanks across a river.
