General Ted "Wildcat" Grant was the leader of the army of the Waynes before Amanda Waller. He was Jonathan and Martha Kent's commander.
History
Wildcat secretly possessed multiple lives, and was killed in action and returned to life several times. This was widely rumoured among his men, but only a few close confidants like Jonathan and Martha knew it was true. When evidence of a civil war in the undersea kingdom of Lemuria began washing up on shore, King Thomas dispatched the army to defend the coast if the eventual winner proved hostile.[1] The army garrisoned in the fortified port city of Leguin, and watched from the walls as two armies of Lemurians emerged form beneath the waves and began fighting on the beach. Waller said that they should ride out and kill both sides while they were distracted, but Grant refused to attack a potential ally and ordered the army to hold position unless one of the two armies attacked.
A water weaver leading one of the Lemurian armies summoned a tsunami and sent it crashing into the battlefield and Leguin, destroying the town and scattering all three armies. Grant was killed and his body was found by Jonathan and Jim Gordon. Jonathan told Gordon that Grant would soon return to life and ordered him to get his body to safety and guard it until he woke up.[2]
