Teekl is the magical familiar of Klarion the Witchboy.
History
Although Teekl usually remains by Klarion's side (or nestled atop his shoulders), They have been known to run off and get into mischief.[citation needed]
Powers and Abilities
Powers
- Magic: Teekl is a familiar capable of various mystical feats.
- Claws: In feline form Teekl had standard claws, but in werecat form they could grow them savagely long.
- Enhanced Senses
- Fangs: Teekl has standard feline teeth, but with transformation could make them horrifically long.
- Healing
- Transformation: Through dance, Teekl is able to take zoo-anthropomorphic form.
- Size Alteration: Teekl also transformed into a savage beast about the size of a tiger.
- Superhuman Durability/Regeneration: Teekl was punched across a room into a wall by Lobo. While badly injured, they survived and recovered shortly after.
- Psychic Link: They are mentally linked to Klarion the Witchboy always. Klarion can see through their eyes and they can see through Klarion's.
Abilities
- Dancing: Through dance, Teekl is able to take anthropomorphic form.
Notes
- Teekl was created by Jack Kirby, first appearing in The Demon #7. However, in the Prime Earth continuity, Teekl first appeared as part of the New 52 DC Universe in Klarion #1 by Ann Nocenti and Trevor McCarthy.
Trivia
- Teekl's gender has varied throughout their appearances: male in Raven: Daughter of Darkness #8 (November, 2018), female in Justice League Dark (Volume 2) #15 (November, 2019) and, more recently, non-binary (referred to with the pronouns they/them) in DC: The Doomed and the Damned #1 (December, 2020).
