Superboy and the Legion is a crossover storyline featuring the Legion of Super-Heroes and the Teen Titans. It's written by Geoff Johns with illustrations by Mike McKone, Ivan Reis and Joe Prado. This is published in the Teen Titans series, following Beast Boys and Girls and leading into Titans Tomorrow.
This is the last regular appearance of the Reboot Legion. They have been in publication since they replaced the Original Legion during Zero Hour, starting in The Beginning of Tomorrow. Their most recent series The Legion was concluded in For No Better Reason. Following this arc, Mark Waid reboots the franchise for a third time as the Prime Legion. Their new volume Legion of Super-Heroes begins in Teenage Revolution, directly following this arc. Yes, Legion of Super-Heroes is confusing.
Synopsis
Superboy is on his first date with Wonder Girl when he's dragged through a rift into the 30th Century. He reappears seconds later in a new costume, insisting that they have to save the future. They arrive at Titans Tower, which is attacked by the Persuader. He disappears through another rift in time, and the Teen Titans follow as Superboy gives them flight rings. They're greeted in space by the Legion of Super-Heroes, who sent Superboy to collect reinforcements. It's explained that Legion World is under attack, and Earth is in danger of being destroyed. Persuader has used his Atomic Axe to contact other realities, expanding the Fatal Five into the Fatal Five-Hundred.[1]
