Synopsis for "Dead Reckoning!"

Starfire states that the Fearsome Five will kill the Teen Titans if they don't perform to the best of their abilities. As the Titans battle them, the Disruptor starts preparing the toxin so it can be released into the city. Robin throws his batarangs at Gizmo but the latter stops them by using magnets. Beast Boy takes the form of a rhinoceros but struggles to overpower Mammoth. Raven meanwhile gets attacked by Psimon who flings the debris around them at her, though she teleports away. Starfire fires warning shots at Shimmer who turns it into gas which suffocates the former.

As a H.I.V.E. leader complains about the Fearsome Five taking too long to defeat the Teen Titans, the Disruptor assures him that they'll soon win. The Titans soon start being overpowered and Disruptor tells the H.I.V.E. the toxin will be ready soon. Some of the members of the organization however object against distracting the Titans and prefer to move on to their real goal. The director tells them to have faith, stating that the distraction will soon allow them to have a new base that no one will be able to take over and their fleet is ready to attack as well.

Tim meanwhile tells the other Titans that they're not going to achieve anything and tells them to retreat. As the other Titans start getting the civilians out of the harm's way, Robin tells Starfire to focus on them instead of fighting Shimmer who is unable to see after getting quicksand in her eyes, which she was using to drown Kory. Starfire realize she made a mistake by focusing more on the fight and rescue a civilian drowning in the quicksand while Raven teleports the toxin preparation unit away from Disruptor. It's however revealed that Psimon fooled the Titans into thinking he had only one unit.

Synopsis for Teen Titans: "A Kid's Game"

This story is reprinted from Teen Titans (Volume 3) #3.

Retreating from their battle with Deathstroke, the Teen Titans rush the injured Impulse to St. Luke's Hospital where doctors immediately begin operating on his injured knee. Leaving him in the hospital's care, they return to Titans Tower and regroup with their mentors. Starfire does not want the younger heroes tangling with Deathstroke. Having fought him on numerous occasions, the older Titans know all too well, just how deadly Deathstroke can be.

Beast Boy, Cyborg, and Starfire leave the Tower to resume their search for Deathstroke. Starfire instructs Robin, Superboy and Wonder Girl to remain behind, but they leave anyways. They track Deathstroke down and finally realize that their old, deceased ally, Jericho, is currently governing Deathstroke's actions.

Meanwhile, a fourteen-year-old boy named Sebastian, recently crowned as the new Brother Blood, prepares to take action against a former Titan.

Synopsis for Sideways: "Steppin' Out with Sideways"

This story is reprinted from Sideways #3.

Derek James narrated the story of how he became Sideways.

A few months earlier, Barbatos attacked Gotham when Derek was there with his mother. Derek fell into a giant mountain that came out of nowhere and was found unconscious, days later on the opposite side of town. When he woke up in the hospital and reached for a glass of water, he realized that he had the power to create rifts. Derek subsequently recruited the help of his best friend Ernie and became Sideways.

He speculated that there could be a Dark Knight Sideways, considering the existence of the Dark Multiverse, although he decided that was "for another day", as he had "a lot going on." Then, Sideways departed through a rift.
