Synopsis for "Superboy Meets the Young Green Arrow!"
This story is reprinted from Adventure Comics #258.
While tinkering with his time monitor, Superboy happens upon viewing an event in the future about the crime fighter named the Green Arrow, and learns his true identity of Oliver Queen. Coincidentally, the next day at school, the young Oliver Queen becomes a student in Clark Kent's class.
Hoping to steer young Oliver towards his destiny, he suggests that the lad dress up as Robin Hood for the annual Smallville history pageant. When the event is used by criminals as a means of smuggling stolen gold out of Smallville, Superboy tries to get Oliver to help him with trick arrows, however the young boy is not very adept at shooting a bow.
Superboy must save the day, and eventually learns that Mr. Brand, a rancher is involved in the gold smuggling by having the gold turned into horse shoes until they could be shipped out. Superboy ultimately foils this plan and Mr. Brand is arrested. Afterwards, Oliver returns the Robin Hood costume back to Clark Kent, telling him that he'll never be a good archer, little knowing what Clark knows about Oliver's future.
