- The cause of my passing out in action was psychosomatic-- Deep down I've got an inferiority complex... I'm nowhere near being the kind of hero you guys are! So, to cover the fact that I'm worthless to the team, I subconsciously made myself sick--so you wouldn't see how useless I am! Now at least, I can face my problem and tell you all about it...and quit!

Trivia
- Gnarrk's most recent appearance was in Teen Titans #39.
- This issue is the first issue that Beast Boy appears fully green in color during his transformations. Before this issue, Gar's transformations had him looking like the animal he shape-shifted into, except that the animal's head would be green and would have hair on its head like Gar does, even if the animal would not normally have hair on top of its head. Beast Boy's transformations were still like this in the previous issue, but for issues #51-52, Gar's animal forms were also green for the first time. His transformations still had his swooping hair, but that characteristic of his transformations would be later removed by Marv Wolfman and George Pérez during the New Teen Titans, where he appears next after this multi-part storyline.
