Synopsis for "The Audition"

Amanda Waller took Red Robin into Belle Reve, planning to use him as bait to evaluate the Teen Titans under pressure, as he wants them to be recruited into her Task Force X program, given now that all Titans are considered outlaws by authorities. Tim Drake tells multiple times to Waller that the Titans are not ideal subject for his project: they are good and they have limits. Countering Tim with the example of Superboy, Amanda triggers Red Robin's danger beacon, giving the Titans the position of their kidnapped leader.

Power Girl recognizes that the location which Red Robin is signaled to be is Belle Reve: she warns her friends that she knows, being a former S.T.A.R. Labs intern, that they possess weapon able to neutralize particular sets of power, including magic, telepathy and constructs, which are power some of them possess. Waller counts on the fact they will be taken by surprise, but the insight and the intelligence of Power Girl make Tanya build a plan to counter those weapons.

Amanda orders then to use deadly force, trying to push the Titans beyond the limit, demonstrating to her and Tim they can be Suicide Squad material. Still, while some of Waller's subordinates start asking themselves if killing kids is right, the Titans once again show they are good, saving everyone from a destabilized weapon who could trigger a lethal molecular breakdown of the entire zone. As two of the officials of Waller's team of agents stop fighting, helping the Titans recovering, as they know what they were doing was wrong, Tim Drake reveals to Amanda he was never in handcuffs and that he registered how she ordered her staff to use lethal force without necessity. If they are not freed, Tim will show everything to Amanda's superiors.

The Titans are freed, and once again the good guys came out triumphant.
