Tempus

Tempus is a name used by several characters in the DC Universe. In the Silver Age, he was an enemy to Superman who built a Doom Clock and tried to destroy the world. The Flash battled a super-villain named Tempus who lived in the Timestream. There is a third Tempus who fights Supergirl. He is a whirling villain with scythes, who flies as time does. Tempus was created by Otto Binder and Pete Costanza, first appearing in Superman's Pal, Jimmy Olsen #98. (1966)
