Termite Queen was an oddly powered termite that controlled its fellows to cause mass damage until tracked down by Wonder Woman.
History
The queen was able to control termites and make them eat metal and directed them to attack important human structures such as bridges. This targeted destruction, and the fact that termites were now eating metals, indicated that there was some kind of intelligence directing the termites and that there had been a significant change to them so Wonder Woman and Steve Trevor investigated, and found themselves confronted by a vicious human hating queen that could telepathically communicate and control others. When the Queen tried to force them to kill themselves she herself was exposed and was unable to escape when a bird spotted and ate her.
Powers and Abilities
Powers
- Telepathy
- Superhuman Digestion: The queen and those in her hive mind can consume wood, concrete and metal at rapid rates, causing destruction and dangerous structure failures in their wake.
Abilities
- Flight: Unlike normal termite queens this creature retained her wings.
- Genius Level Intellect: The surprising engineering knowledge of the one directing the new "termites" is what led to Wonder Woman investigating, as the termites were targeting structures by consuming load bearing and other vital parts in order to cause failure in the most efficient way possible.
- Multilingualism: The queen cannot physically speak, but can understand the languages of those she encounters due to her telepathy.
- Parthenogenesis: New queens are created through asexual reproduction.
