Thaal Sinestro (Green Lantern Animated Series)

Thaal Sinestro is the veteran Green Lantern of Sector 1417. Celebrated within the Corps for his effectiveness, his style of law enforcement is stricter and more violent than normal.

History

After having captured an alien who could jump between bodies, Sinestro enlisted the help of Hal Jordan and the Interceptor when he was stranded. The alien escaped custody and possessed Sinestro, causing him to attack Jordan and Kilowog. Sinestro stopped the alien by depressurizing the ship - causing them all to be exposed to the vacuum of space. With no ring to protect itself, the alien returned to its original body. Sinestro made sure the cell remained depressurized, killing the alien. He reported it as an accident, which Jordan provately doubted.

This version of the character is exclusive to the continuity of the television series Green Lantern: The Animated Series and is an adaptation of Sinestro. The original character was created by John Broome and Gil Kane and first appeared in Green Lantern (Volume 2) #7.
Sinestro was voiced by Ron Perlman.
