Thanagarian Snare Beasts[1] are a race of giant spider-like creatures from the planet Thanagar.

In Earth-38, some Thanagarian Snare Beasts live in Maaldoria, a planet in the Arcturus system also known as "Slavers' Moon".[2]
Superman Lives
One of these creatures fought against Superman in his world.[3]

- The Thanagarian Snare Beast included in the Multiverse scene in The Flash is a reference to the failed movie Superman Lives, in production in 1997-98. Kevin Smith wrote a screenplay based on The Death of Superman and pitched it to producer Jon Peters. Peters demanded several changes to the script and wanted Smith to include Superman fighting one of these creatures in the third act.[4]
