Thanatos is the personification of death in Greek mythology.
History
On her journey through the Underworld in search of her fellow Amazon Potira, Wonder Woman (Yara Flor) arrived in the Asphodel Meadows after disembarking from Charon's boat on the other side of the River Styx. There she met Thanatos, the god of death, who, with a blow from his scythe shaft, opened a large crack in the ground, causing her to fall before the presence of the Three Judges of the Dead and Hades, the King of the Underworld himself.[1]
