Thatch was a gang lord who impersonated the historical pirate Blackbeard.

History

Thatch organized his gang to disguise themselves as pirates and often assaulted wealthy people on ships in the middle of the sea. His scheme was uncovered by Batman and Robin, who stopped Thatch and his gang, delivering them to the authorities.
