It should be noted that since the story contained in this issue shows that the events showcased in the 100 episodes of the Superboy series and the 22 issues of the tie-in Superboy comic series were actually works of fan fiction by a variation of the Clark Kent of New Earth, but never referenced again in any other works or publications, the events depicted in the special may be viewed as apocryphal.
