Synopsis for "The Riddle of the Two-Faced Astronaut!"
The magician Wizardo the Great has created a new magic trick, which uses a "space man" (Peter Venner) "traveling around the world" in a giant globe. Essentially a glorified disappearing act, however things turn for the worse when Venner is accused of robbing the bank next door during the time he "disappeared" during the magic trick.
Getting involved as the Atom, Ray Palmer learns that it's really Howard Crane, owner of the theater and former quick change artist who used the trick to frame Venner for his crimes. However, before they can arrest Crane, Crane makes a run for the post office (as his sachet full of loot was rigged to change into a package which he was mailing to himself) there the Atom knocks out Crane and finds the evidence that proves that Crane is responsible for the crime.

Synopsis for "The Highwayman and the Mighty Mite!"
When Alpheus Hyatt uses his Time Pool again (now perfecting it to focus on specific points in history) he manages to pull back a letter from the year 1739 written by Jane de la Marie. The letter is about how King George II refuses to release her husband until the criminal highwayman named Tom Palmer (AKA Dick Turpin) is arrested.
Curious about his ancestor's rogue past, Ray returns to Hyatt's home that night to travel through the Time Pool as the Atom. There he secretly helps Jane de la Marie capture Dick Turpin, before returning to his own time with bringing a note for Hyatt to show that Turpin was captured and de la Marie's husband was freed afterward.
