Synopsis for "Breach of Trust, Part 6"

Henry Bendix has been reborn in a cloned body, one that has a vast array of powers including those of Stormwatch and the Authority. He demonstrates his powers against Midnighter such as using Impetus' speed to break his leg. As the Authority and Stormwatch launch their attack on Bendix, William Bendix watches their battle from Skywatch. Realizing they are no match against his father, William orders the superhumans teleported out of the bunker but learns that there is an interference that is preventing them from rescuing them. William then orders to have himself teleported to the bunker as close as possible.

Bendix remains unstoppable as he absorbs Winter and Apollo's energies. Hawksmoor informs Jackson King that Bendix is blocking them from evacuating through the Carrier's Doors, and he even blocks the Authority's mind-link to Jenny Quantum and the Doctor. As Hawksmoor runs out of the bunker, Jackson intervenes to save Winter and Apollo before Bendix could snap their necks. But Bendix retaliates with a psionic blast that assaults Jackson’s mind until the Engineer and Diva unleashes subsonic blasts on Bendix. With Bendix distracted, Swift grabs Rose Tattoo and takes her outside, and away from Bendix.

The Doctor and Jenny have finally arrived to confront Bendix. But to their surprise, Bendix unleashes a powerful psychic assault on their minds; he turns up Jenny's pain receptors while he affects Habib's memory center of his brain, making him forget how his powers work. But before Bendix could finish off Jenny and Habib, Hawksmoor returns with a anthropomorphic giant of the city of Bisbee to smash Bendix.

Meanwhile Shift tries to deprogram Rose by making her remember the people she saved in Providence. This seemingly breaks Rose free from Bendix's control, but this is a trick; she causes Swift to drop her guard and allows Rose to impale her with her sword. Just as she left Swift mortally wounded, William appears before Rose. He then tries to convince her that his father has no real love for her, but he sees her as a pawn. He gets her to stand down and ask her to make a choice to show that Henry Bendix has no control over her.

William's words succeed in convincing Rose to turn against Bendix. After Rose heals Swift, she and William launch a surprise attack on Bendix while he is distracted fighting Hawksmoor. Rose fatally impaled Bendix, causing his body to explode destroying the bunker after the Doctor teleports everyone out at a safe distance. However, Habib is unable to save William as he could not differentiate him from his father while he was disoriented. He also is not sure if Rose is dead.

Apollo flies into the melted remains of the bunker and recovers Henry Bendix's skeleton, thus confirming his death. But he could not find anything else left intact. With the bunker's content all gone and useless, Stormwatch and the Authority destroys the bunker to ensure nothing remains. Despite their fight earlier, Stormwatch and the Authority leave on good terms while hoping it will stay that way.

After the Authority returns to the Carrier, Hawksmoor asks Habib again on what happened to Rose. Habib once again explains what he had informed King: he is still not sure what happened to her on whether she is dead or reborn because he cannot detect any sign of her, as she is a unique being that the laws of nature do not apply to her.

Unknown to the Authority, Rose has been reborn in the form of a teenage girl named Shawna living in Arkansas and has apparently become the Spirit of Murder, as she holds a butcher knife while being berated by her father.

Six miles from the former location of the bunker, William Bendix emerges from the ground and his mind has been taken over by his father's consciousness. Bendix remarks that his son's body is "young...strong...absolutely bursting with potential."
