The Authority: The Lost Year #10 is an issue of the series The Authority: The Lost Year (Volume 1) with a cover date of August, 2010.

Synopsis for "The Seventh Day"

The Authority find themselves on a world where the events of their rule over the United States were not overturned and The Authority actually stayed in power afterward. The mainstream Authority is captured and sent to a detention center in Antarctica. There, an alternate version of Gen 13's Grunge tells Jenny Quarx how his Earth's Authority rose to power and kept that power by defeating all the other metahumans who tried to stop them. In another cell, Midnighter talks with an alternate Voodoo of the Wildcats who tells him about the implants they all have which keeps them under surveillance 24/7.

Meanwhile, the alternate Jenny Quantum shares her concerns with the alternate Midnighter that unlike the other Authorities they've encountered, this one did not put up a fight. This fact worries her.

Back in the detention center, Midnighter figures out that his alternate self installed a fail-safe code and disables their cells.

The alternate Rose Tattoo confronts the alternate Midnighter about his fail-safe and intents to kill him for his stupidity. Because she is the Spirit of Death she is able to defeat the alternate Midnighter.

As the other inmates escape, the mainstream Authority can't find their Doctor. Then they get into an argument because of all the Authorities they've encountered in their travels, the only thing that separates the previous two is that this alternate team actually carried out what the mainstream Authority has never done. The notion gives each of the members pause.

The alternate Doctor is actually an alternate Jeroen Thornedike. He has Habib and is taunting him. But oddly, at the end of his taunt he asks Habib to kill him.
