Synopsis for "The Cat and the Bat"

Catwoman attempts to steal a jade statuette from the home of Japanese millionaire and Yakuza boss Hideo Katsu, but is foiled by Katsu's security system and barely escapes the grounds. News of the break-in quickly spreads across Gotham; while Batman takes an interest and the police court suspicions that he and Catwoman are partners, Katsu is enraged and orders his men to bring him Catwoman's head by any means necessary.

Meanwhile, Catwoman becomes intrigued by tales of the Batman, and deliberately trips a silent alarm in the city to draw him out. Her gambit is successful, and Batman quickly chases her along Gotham's rooftops. When cornered, the two engage in a brawl, and a stroke of luck allows Catwoman to incapacitate her opponent. As a "souvenir" of their first meeting, she takes Batman's utility belt and departs.

In her apartment, Catwoman begins to experiment with the belt, searching for technology that might allow her to successfully steal Katsu's statuette. Her actions trigger many of the gadgets linked to the utility belt, including the Bat-Bot and the Batmobile, destroying a good portion of the Batcave and forcing Batman and Alfred to resort to extreme measures to restore order. Finally, Catwoman's experiments pay off, giving her full access to the belt's gadgets.

The next night, Catwoman returns to Katsu's mansion, and uses her newfound gadgets to steal the statuette. However, she is ambushed by Katsu and a throng of ninjas, none of whom intend to let her leave the grounds alive. Fortunately, Batman arrives, and together, he and Catwoman defeat Katsu's ninjas and recover from the statuette a CD containing information on many different Yakuza clans.

In the aftermath of the adventure, Catwoman grudgingly returns both Batman's belt and the statuette, and vanishes. The following morning, however, Batman discovers - to his dismay - that the police now definitely consider him and Catwoman to be partners.
