The Batman and Robin Adventures #6 is an issue of the series The Batman and Robin Adventures (Volume 1) with a cover date of May, 1996.

Synopsis for "Round Robin"

When a local tabloid reports that Batman has "fired" Robin, Gotham is swarmed by dozens of overeager, undertrained teenagers seeking the mantle for themselves. One of these ersatz Robins tries to stop a convenience store robbery, but is easily beaten and taken hostage by the robber, who demands a $50,000 ransom from Batman.

As they pursue the case, Batman and the real Robin find themselves hindered by several more would-be Robins, who try to impress the former with ill-conceived stunts (while dismissing the latter as another "competitor"). A girl named Carrie proves especially troublesome, as her family's political connections make it difficult for the police to detain her; worse, she disturbs the robber's drop-off call to Batman, aggravating the hostage situation.

Fortunately, Robin finds the robber's hideout in time, and surreptitiously changes places with the hostage. When the robber returns, his new "hostage" defeats him in seconds. As the robber is taken into custody, Batman reluctantly lets a reporter photograph the "reunited" Dynamic Duo, finally laying the wave of would-be Robins to rest.
