- This issue seems to retcon Jared's origin as Fate previously published in Fate Vol 1 0. Instead of be hurt by demons and forging the Fate artifacts into the dagger and throwing stars, Jared was exploring the Tomb of Nabu in Egypt, where the Nelson couple give him the artifacts, which are transformed by magic.
