The Boys #5 is an issue of the series The Boys (Volume 1) with a cover date of January, 2007. It was published on November 22, 2006.
Synopsis for "Cherry, Part Three"
In Central Park, Hughie sat down on a bench and introduced himself and vented to a woman named Annie. They parted ways and after Hughie turned around, Annie flew into the sky. Meanwhile, the rest of The Boys were eavesdropping on Teenage Kix through a machine before Hughie entered the room after getting the weekend off.
Butcher took Hughie to Madison Square Park to eat burgers before receiving a notification on Teenage Kix. Shout Out of Teenage Kix came out as gay and announced his hiatus from the team, as The Seven watched him on a screen and Homelander suspected that someone was after them. Meanwhile, Teenage Kix argued with Shout Out on why he was the one exposed out of all of them. Butcher believed that it had to be Shout Out, believing that he could do the most damage to the team if they go down. Their conversation was interrupted when Terror started barking due to Teenage Kix approaching them. Teenage Kix confronted The Boys for blackmailing them and trying to destroy them and Butcher ordered his teammates to "give 'em a f*ckin' spankin'."
