The Boys (Volume 1) with a cover date of February, 2007.
Synopsis for "Cherry Conclusion"
The fight began with Butcher approaching Big Game and headbutting his face, while M.M. attacked Gunpowder, Frenchie attacked Jetstreak, and the Female attacked Popclaw. Hughie was running from Whack Job before Butcher told him to fight Blarney Cock. The supe attempted to gouge out the Scotsman's eyes before the latter impaled the former with his fist. Butcher insisted that they were not supposed to kill Teenage Kix and Hughie was shocked before a hamster crawled out of Blarney Cock's pants, much to The Boys' disgust. When the police approached them, M.M. showed his I.D.
Later, The Seven learned what Butcher did and Homelander instructed his team to prepare to address the media. Butcher gave Hughie a couple of days off and the Scotsman kept the hamster while the Englishman, Frenchie, and M.M. wondered who tipped off Teenage Kix about them. Vic the Veep spoke at Blarney Cock's funeral with his teammates Big Game and Shout Out, as well as Drummer Boy of the Young Americans, and Adam Fleisher of Vought-American being interviewed by the media. Much to Butcher's and Hughie's surprise, the media claimed that Blarney Cock was killed by "time terrorists."
At a park, Hughie decided to leave after killing Blarney Cock before Butcher told him about his wife who was raped by a supe and died after giving birth to another and how supes were backed by big corporations and claimed that they were one bad day from having a "supe-friendly president" in the Oval Office. Meanwhile, Homelander introduced Starlight to the media as Lamplighter's replacement, as Butcher, M.M., and Frenchie watched them on TV. M.M. suggested that there might be "one or two good supes" out there, although Butcher responded that if there are, "f*ck 'em."
