Synopsis for "Chapter One: Summonings"
Cernunnos attempts to quieten the fighting taking place in Tir Na Nóg but he finds his efforts fruitless. The fighting continues ignoring the fey being.
Wonder Woman and Steve Trevor have hidden themselves in Antarctica to hide away from the world. Just as they lie naked in bed planning on their week of solitude Cernunnos appears from within a portal summoned into their room. Despite Steve Trevor's awkwardness Diana asks how she can assist and Cernunnos explains that the Faerie folk have been hidden away in their dimension and he asks Diana to help broker a peace for his people. Diana makes the most of her time left with Steve and then departs for Tir Na Nóg.
In Gotham City, Batman attempts to solve a mystery in the Irish Quarter of the city; people there are standing idle, not moving more than five paces. After arriving on the streets there is nothing apparent, so when he stops to question a homeless man he notices a smoke which is flooding the quarter and he reaches through to pull off the veil.
Nearby, a homeless man called Patrick O'Schull stumbles from his tent and rants about how his wife left him for his devotion to the "Gentry" and - while talking to no one - he apologies for his incessant knocking on the door of Tir Na Nóg but he knows that one day they will admit him.
Cernunnos takes Diana across a Giant's Causeway and explains to her that Tir Na Nóg is the land of the Faerie; two races who have been working on an uneasy peace. Cernunnos also remarks on the power his people use to have, but have since squandered, and in recent years the causeways which allowed travel from their world into Diana's have closed - humanity had stopped believing and thus had stripped their power away.
Arriving at the Court of the Dé Danann, Diana and Cernunnos discover that there is set to be a lynching from a goblin who points to Captain Furf who in turn explains how the Faerie king, King Elatha, had been killed and a boy was found alone with the body. Captain Furf promises to exact revenge upon the killer that same night.
Back on Earth, Batman stands before the smoke as it clears, revealing terrifying monsters which but Bruce into a trance alongside the other residents of the Irish Quarter.
