Synopsis for "Wanted -- the Capsule Master!"
This story is reprinted from The Brave and the Bold #50.
Reporting to a call to halt a jail break, Green Arrow and Speedy are shocked to find that the escaped convicts were wearing masks and under false identities, and surmise they could have broken out of jail at any time. Later they answer a call to the museum where a meteor is stolen. Examining a x-ray photo of the meteor shows that there is some sort of mechanical object within it. Believing that aliens from outer space are involved, Green Arrow calls in help from his fellow JLA member the Martian Manhunter. The two end up trying to stop the three convicts (really aliens) and their master, Vulcor the Capsule Master from retrieving a third object from the bottom of the harbor, but fail in doing so.
Traveling to Mars to see what he can learn about Vulcor, Martian Manhunter learns that Vulcor was a prisoner on Mars, imprisoned for trying to use a weapon against the people there, but he recently escaped. Returning to Earth, the Martian Manhunter, Green Arrow and Speedy all work togeather to try and stop the Capsule Master from retrieving parts of the doomsday device he plans on using against both Earth and Mars. Their first attempt fails when Vulcor uses hypnotic powers on Green Arrow, making him shoot flaming arrows at the Martian Manhunter.
Later, the two decide to throw off Vulcor by having Martian Manhunter disguise himself as Green Arrow, and Green Arrow as Martian Manhunter. Their ruse works when they make their final attack on Vulcors capsule, and when expecting to battle Green Arrow, Vulcor has to deal with the Manhunter instead who defeats him and takes him and his men to Mars for punishment.

Synopsis for "The Death of the Flash!"
This story is reprinted from The Brave and the Bold #67.
A series of robberies committed by a group of super-fast thieves called the Speed Boys have been plaguing Gotham drawing the attention of Batman. Meanwhile, Flash keeps the order in Central City, but he soon is diagnosed with a fatal illness that gets worse every time he runs. Unfortunately for him, Batman asks his help to capture the Speed Boys and Flash's sense of duty doesn't allow him to turn Batman down. Flash travels to Gotham and teams up with the Caped Crusader to try and stop the super-fast crooks. However, just before the Flash can nab any of them his sickness gets the best of him and the crooks get away.
During one robbery, Batman and the Flash manage to capture one of the Speed Boys and Batman takes his shoes to analyze while the Flash goes after the rest of the group. However, Flash finally succumbs to his illness and is taken by the Speed Boys who show off the Flash's supposedly dead body on TV. However, the radioactive isotope used to power the Speed Boy's sneakers also cures and revives the Flash, enabling him to quickly recover and capture the entire gang when they least expect it. Afterwards, he learns that with their leader captured, Batman has found a way to stop the rest of the gang and their snicker and soon the criminals are taken away by Commissioner Gordon.

In New York City the Boy Commandos get abducted by a gang of Nazis. The team's fans, calling themselves the Kid Commandos, team up with the Sandman and Sandy, and with the Newsboy Legion, to defeat this gang and rescue the Commandos.
