The Brave and the Bold #112 is an issue of the series The Brave and the Bold (Volume 1) with a cover date of May, 1974.
Synopsis for Batman and Mister Miracle: "The Impossible Escape"
The Gotham City Police Department and Batman are called to the Gotham Art Museum to stop a bunch of heavily armed thieves from stealing an ancient Hotep statue which is believed to contain the secret of everlasting life. They are also met by Inspector Siyad an inspector of the Egyptian police, who claims the statue was stolen from his country and sold illegally. Batman is asked to investigate the legitimacy of the purchase, and at the same time see if the old legends about the statue are true.
While in France, Mr. Miracle puts on a show where he escapes from the top of the Eiffel Tower during a lightning storm without getting struck by lightning. This is a feat he pulls off perfectly, and is then confronted by a woman who offers him to commit the greatest escape of all time.
Days later in Egypt, Batman's investigations find that the man who sold the statue to the museum in Gotham is dead. Searching for a lead to the temple, Batman is attacked by his tour guides when they hit a sandstorm. At the same time Miracle and his female companion are flying in a helicopter when they hit the same storm, forcing them to abandon the helicopter and continue on foot.
Batman finds the secret cave of Atun, followed by Miracle and his companion. Mr. Miracle the woman find who they believe is the Immortal Atun who tells them that his scepter is the key to immortality. The girl grabs it and runs, but has to be saved by Miracle when she gets caught up in various traps. The girl turns on Miracle (pulling a gun on him) and reveals that she's really working for a wealthy investor seeking to gain the key to immortality because he's on deaths door. Miracle escapes finds Atun's tomb, opening it up he learns the truth: That it's not Atun at all, but Batman. Removing the helmet on "Atun's" head causes Batman to snap out of it. When the girl gains the helmet she tires to use it to kill the two heroes, who manage to escape into a secret chamber. There they find an ancient space cruiser and realize the truth, that Atun was an alien from another planet. Using the ship to escape, the temple self-destructs and afterwards the staff and the alien ship crumble to dust. Both Miracle and Batman are left with many unanswered questions.
The "master" who hired the girl to steal the staff soon dies, and light years away, Atun's leaders deny his request to return to Earth, telling him that immortality is a gift that's not yet ready for the savages of Earth.

Synopsis for Aquaman and Hawkman: "Fury of the Exiled Creature"
This story is reprinted from The Brave and the Bold #51.
Atlantis is attacked by sea creatures, sending Aquaman and Aqualad to the rescue of their fellow Atlanteans. Aquaman is surprised to find that his ability to communicate with sea creatures has no effect. However, he still manages to fight off the attacking sea creatures, who eventually flee. What Aquaman is unaware of is that this was instigated by Tyros, an Atlantean exile who had been transformed into an amphibian/bird hybrid who is bent on getting revenge against the people of Atlantis.
Tyros then begins plan B: stealing the Quixtol's sacred pipe, an ancient Aztec flute which gives it's user control over birds. This theft gets the attention of Hawkman and Hawkgirl who go out and try to recover the pipe. While deep under the ocean, Aquaman and Aqualad visit the Old Man of the Oceans, who reveals to them that Tyros is the one responsible for the attack.
As Tyros battles Hawkman and Hawkgirl on the surface with an army of birds (capturing Hawkgirl in the process), he sends a wave of sea creatures to attack Atlantis and deliver a message: surrender Atlantis to him, or die. Fleeing the battle, Tyros takes Hawkgirl to the cave which contains the crystal that transformed him into the creature he now is. He uses it to turn Hawkgirl into a harpy and sends her out to attack Hawkman.
After Aquaman and Aqualad are seemingly killed in an explosion while trying to stop Tyros, Tyros takes the opportunity to finally seize Atlantis for himself. Hawkman however, manages to defeat the harpy-Hawkgirl by using a bird brought to Earth from Thanagar, who is unaffected by the horn. While Aquaman and Aqualad drain Atlantis of its water, rendering Tyros' underwater allies useless, Hawkman attacks Tyros with an army of birds. In all the commotion, Aquaman smashes the gem that gave Tyros his powers. Once destroyed, Tyros changes back to normal and is put into custody, likewise Hawkgirl is also reverted to normal. After their battle, Hawkman and Aquaman part company and thank each other for the help.

Synopsis for Batman and Green Lantern: "The Tick-Tock Traps of the Time Commander"
This story is reprinted from The Brave and the Bold #59.
While attending a performance by John Starr, a modern day "Monte Cristo" claiming to be framed for a crime he did not commit, Bruce Wayne is approached by Starr after the performance in his guise of the Time Commander, using his time-shifting hour glass to reveal that he knows Wayne is really Batman and asks for Batman's help in clearing his name.
However, this proves to be a ploy, and the Time Commander knocks out and ties up Batman and uses the Caped Crusader's resources to trick the Green Lantern into charging the Time Commander with power from his ring while disguised as Batman. While the Time Commander steals powerful isotopes and frames Batman for the crime, Green Lantern returns to Gotham City and learns the truth.
Freeing Batman, the two work together to try and stop the Time Commander, spoiling his masquerade as Batman, however they fail to stop the crook from besting them and using his prism technology to send Green Lantern 24 hours into the past, and Batman 24 hours in the future.
While the Time Commander attempts to terrorize the city until they clear John Starr's name, the two heroes literally use time to their advantage to get the best of Time Commander by seting-up an air raid siren to destroy the Commanders' hour glass, enabling the heroes to achieve a fast victory against the crook, unmask him as Starr and turn him over to the police.
