Synopsis for Batman and Doctor Fate: "Corruption"

Dr. Fate traces a spirit of corruption to the Gotham City Police Department of Earth-One, where an unknown force is causing all the officers to act like criminals and even Commissioner Gordon tries to kill Batman.

Dr. Fate arrives in time to save the Dark Knight and take him away from danger. Together, the two heroes decide to investigate in their own areas of expertise. Dr. Fate goes to the spirit world, where he seeks the soul of a deceased police officer who is partially responsible for the chaos created. Meanwhile, Batman finds the connections to the criminals who murdered the officer.

Dr. Fate finds the lost soul, but he realizes that it has been possessed by a Demon, which gives the dead spirit the powers needed to manipulate the officers of the GCPD. He tries to exorcise the demon from the soul, but the officer refuses to be separated from the demon. Meanwhile, Batman finds enough evidence about the criminals that killed the officer and he learns that the deceased man was framed by members of the GCPD, who are crooked and corrupt. When Batman finally confronts the real criminals, the soul of the deceased officer finds peace, allowing Dr. Fate to separate the demon from the soul, ending the supernatural events in Gotham.
