The Confluence is a vast, interdimensional living ocean which connects all of time and space. By swimming through it, one can cross vast distances and reach other worlds.
History
The Confluence transfers the elemental energy of the Blue throughout creation, bringing the hope of life to every planet and every living being.[1]
Future State
The Confluence is well understood by some alien civilisations such as the Neptunians, but was unknown on Earth until it was accidentally discovered by Aquaman and Aqualass. The ocean changed before their very eyes into something strange and alien, as they were transported to an unknown distant planet. Unable to find their way home, the two heroes were lost in the Confluence for years.[2]
Aquaman and Aquawoman eventually found their way home. Aquaman chose to remain in the Confluence, joined by Arthur Curry and Mera, while Aquawoman became a superhero on Earth and join the Justice League. By this point they were able to easily travel from the Confluence to Earth and communicate with those outside it.[3]
Residents
Future State
- The Great Beast: A gigantic sea monster which protects the Confluence. It has an island on its back, a vast maw of teeth and tentacles which secrete a paralytic toxin.

Notes
- The Confluence exists out in the Hypertime. However, residents from the Infinite Frontier can also journey into this plane of existence.
